Meet the Team: Lindsay Marshall

We are thrilled to introduce you to Lindsay, one of our new Partnership and Investment Officers. Lindsay’s role is all about building relationships with you: our community! She joins our Development Team with a goal to be a strong advocate for Bellevue children and to advance our mission forward in a meaningful way.

Lindsay’s collegiate career at the University of Puget Sound and her previous work with the Windermere Foundation ignited her passion for making a positive impact on her community. “I became fascinated by social issues and the ways that we both create and confront them. I came to realize that I wanted to play a part in building a more just and compassionate society, and I sought to dedicate myself more fully to this work. I am thrilled to now be part of an organization that is making such a great difference in my direct community.”

Read along as Lindsay shares a little about herself and what motivated her to join the team:

Why is the Bellevue LifeSpring mission meaningful to you?

My family moved to Washington from California, and I quickly fell in love with this beautiful state. I have lived in a few different cities, but when I graduated college, I knew I wanted to return to Bellevue, which has become my home.

In recent years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the increasing number of low-income families in Bellevue struggling to access housing and other basic necessities. As a member of this community, it’s disheartening to see our neighbors left without vital support. Everyone deserves shelter, food, clothing, and education, especially our children, who should never have to worry about affording these essentials.

As community members, it’s our responsibility to uplift and support those who need it most. I am genuinely excited to join Bellevue LifeSpring in its mission to provide essential resources and ensure Bellevue children receive the support and opportunities they deserve.

What do you hope to achieve in your new role as a Partnership & Investments Officer?

As the Partnerships and Investments Officer, my aim is to build enduring relationships with our investors rooted in collaboration and trust. I look forward to listening and learning from the insights of our community leaders and those we serve. I firmly believe that fostering these connections is crucial for our organization’s growth. My ultimate goal is to secure the support necessary to extend our services to every member of the community who relies on us.

What does community mean to you?

At its core, a community isn’t just defined by shared traits—it’s a collective with a shared responsibility for each other’s well-being. A community’s strength lies in how we support and uplift every member, ensuring no one is left behind. By fostering a cohesive, supportive environment, we can build a community that thrives, benefiting both its present and future members alike.

What could we find you doing outside of your work at Bellevue LifeSpring?

Outside of work, I find joy in exploring new restaurants, hopping on ferries to discover quaint island towns, and indulging in thrift shopping for one-of-a-kind treasures. In my downtime, I immerse myself in creativity, experimenting with various crafts as a way to unwind and rejuvenate.

Thank you, Lindsay, for sharing, and welcome to the team!
